Houston rap sensation OMB Bloodbath is not wasting any time releasing new music and representing her city. The 26-year-old recently signed to 10:22PM and LVRN — in partnership with Interscope Records, and has delivered her first single and video for “Dropout”, featuring fellow Texas native, Maxo Kream.
The laidback new song remarkably unites two fast-rising artists from historically opposing neighborhoods. “We actually linked up in the studio in LA to record that track,” recalls OMB Bloodbath, who says Maxo Kream is considered family. “We’re going back and forth really smooth, bringing the two sides of Houston together.”
Shot on location at OMB Bloodbath’s house, the high contrast clip was directed by Trill Art, and features the unlikely pair trading lyrical bars at a lowkey gathering of the tribes. Bloodbath showcases her spitfire flow and sings on the sinister track.
