West Coast rapper Shakewell debuts his breezy new cut and head-spinning visual “Late Night”, the lead single from his forthcoming album Long Haired Dragon releasing via G59 Records / Caroline. Produced by Dretta, Shakewell doesn’t take any chances as he raps about his after-hours hustle over the melodic beat. The song is his first official release on G59 Records, home to artists $uicideBoy$, Germ, Night Lovell, and Ramirez.
Confiding about his experience as both an addict and artist, Shakewell shares his internal struggles. “On the one hand, I’ve had this ability to make music that reaches millions of people and has created all sorts of success in many areas in my life but on the other hand there’s always that urge to clean up my act for the sake of my brain and long-term health.” The recurring theme of inner conflict is especially relevant within the newly released “Late Night”.
