Following his North American tour with pop vocalist Ashe and recent collaborations with Mokita and Ella Vos, Gavin Haley has partnered with rapper Yung Pinch on “Tati”, the indie singer-songwriter’s most exciting release yet. Out now via Red Bull Records, the single combines feel-good pop productions with hip-hop and R&B-infused lyricism, creating a must-listen melodic record that showcases the skills of both artists.
“I was in Nashville writing with some homies and this song just happened. When Pinch sent his verse back, I think I listened like 11 times in a row. His flow is so smooth and it really brought this one together for me,” says Gavin of the release. “I don’t think I’ve ever made something that makes you wanna move like this. That feeling of being in love and everything is easy… at least for a little bit. ‘Tati’ is for the good times.”
“I remember the first time I heard the song I already knew what I wanted to do on it,” says Yung Pinch on the collaboration. “It just came naturally because the song was already so good without me. Everyone has met a ‘Tati’ at least once in their life.”
Gavin Haley brings a genre-bending approach to his body of work, fusing his experiences into his music to create a narrative that feels universally relatable. A former professional cyclist, Gavin’s approach to music lies in detailed storytelling and channeling raw emotions into well-crafted examinations of faith and optimism. With over 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, last year Gavin released his debut EP, Long Game on Red Bull Records, which featured the standout single “The Way I Am” featuring Ella Vos. Releasing his Half Evil mixtape earlier this year, 2020 sees more music still to come from the rising musician.
Huntington Beach native Yung Pinch has channeled his struggles into success through his music. Following the release of his acclaimed debut album, 714Ever, Pinch has toured alongside artists such as Post Malone, SOBxRBE and G-Eazy, in addition to headlining his own tours worldwide. Known for hit singles including “I Know You” with Lil Skies, which has amassed over 81 million streams on Spotify and 59 million views on YouTube, earlier this year he released his latest album, Back 2 The Beach, which featured collaborations from blackbear, Wiz Khalifa, Pouya, and more.
